Porritt School is a decile 4 Contributing School, situated in the heart of Tamatea. This year the roll begins around 300 students and ends the year with approximately 375 students. There is a basic staff entitlement of 18 teachers.

We are lucky to have numerous classrooms, together with an assembly hall / gymnasium, music suite, resource room, along with the administration area, 3 adventure playgrounds, and a 25m school pool.

The school is fully fenced. Gates are closed during weekends and school holidays.

With its planned planting, trees and gardens Porritt School sits in very attractive surroundings and has won many awards over the years for its grounds and gardens.
